Day 15...5 Minutes. Imagine you will completely lose your memory of 2010 in five minutes. Set an alarm for five minutes and capture the things you most want to remember about 2010

Summer...We sold our tent trailer, found our old tent in the back room, dusted it off...and revived her.  Every weekend was an adventure!  We spent over 20 nights in that tent this summer!

My most memorable was the weekend we loaded up the canoe and paddled to a favorite West Coast beach where we'd spend a glorious 3 nights!(we've been talking about doing this for years)  After a two hour drive and a beautiful one and a half hour paddle down the river, a push and pull over the sandbar,  we finally launched on the beach!  It took some thought but we eventually picked out the perfect location for camp...unfortunately mother nature had other plans!(our first night was the beginning of many mishaps; you see, the wind picked up and pretty near blew our tent away, snapping our pole and ripping a hole through the roof... so we slept in the woods out of the wind!  Nights 2 and 3 were 'incredible as we were able 'jimmy' the tent and relocate to our new perfect spot,  spending our time with the ocean in front of us and the river beside us.  We read, we hiked the trail nearby, we swam, we sat in awe by the fire as the sun set, we enjoyed fresh fish, we spent time chatting with fellow campers, we ate delicious recipes out of my new 'Chef in your backpack' book, and we slept so good...what a fantastic trip!  By the last hour on our 3rd day, we were shaking sand out of our sleeping bags while discussing all the lessons we learned over the weekend!  So many wonderful memories were made and a few 'mishaps' were experienced which kept us chuckling and reminiscing for a good few weeks!(actually we are still chuckling)  I'd love to elaborate more but...what goes on at Raft Cove STAYS at Raft Cove!

Life Lessons to remember...
-Most 'Ideas' are not always as daunting as they appear!
-COFFEE FIRST!!
-If you can't change it...ROLL with it!
-Look for the lessons - LEARN!
-Ask and you shall receive(the fresh fish we ate..yum)
-'Words' are not always helpful.
-Hugging and deep breathing do relieve tension(especially if you squeeze just a little  harder...jk honey)
-Did I mention, COFFEE FIRST!
-Its OK to leave the kitchen sink at home; where there is a will...you can survive without it!
-Something is better than nothing; cold water baths don't kill!
